• Is it possible to press the submit button and have the results of the database load on the same page as the drop down boxes (form) in a different section of the page rather than redirecting to a new page upon “submit”?

• Once the form/ search is created, is it possible to have the HTML source code so that I can edit the look/ design/ layout of it?

• The same as above is for the code of the displayed results so I can completely style/ design the look and layout of the data (pulled from the DB).

is this possible?

Hi, Leanne

You can integrate both form and database widget on the same page.
Just copy a widget code from the Form and Database widget in MTH and place it to your web page.
Once you enter some data into your form and refresh the page it will appear in your database widget as well.

You can edit look & design in the Widget Builder, or you can apply your own styles.
Please, investigate how our users do it. Please, see several examples below or get back to us.

Game site

Students site

Online radio

Hope it helps!

Thank you!

I see how you can customize it, but what about going a little bit further?

What if I want my displayed results to look ‘less’ like an Excel spreadsheet, and ‘more’ like my own implemented design.

Here are some displayed results’ examples:

(in the above link, see the box “This week’s picks”..?? What about if I want my results to look just like that)

So I want to keep the data/ content, but do not have the main bar with the sortable field names on it, and maybe I want to arrange the place where the content is located.

For me, it still looks like an Excel spreadsheet, embedded within the website of the Game & Student sites.

Is this changeable?

Yes, we are planning to work on different data views in the next month.
I agree that we should be able to hide column’s names and sorting and we will definitely implement it within the next month.

Thanks for your valuable suggestions!

Hello,

Regarding your first question about submitting forms and showing results on the same page: please, see redirect to record page option in the form widget.

Hope it makes sense for you!
