We are excited to introduce you several new features. They were mostly implemented as per user's requests.
In the Database Widget you can enable Excel Export for all web users. It can be very useful if you want to share the whole database or need to make daily backups without entering MTH site.
1) Go to Customize & Integrate menu.
2) Open Database tab.
3) In Actions menu select Enable Export to Excel item.
An XLS file with your database will be sent to you if you click on the Export to Excel icon.
And here is how your database looks like in Excel.
Sometimes you may need to allow web users to edit your database from the database widget.
1) Go to Customize & Integrate menu.
2) Open Database tab.
3) In Actions menu select Allow web user to edit database records item.
Notice, how your db widget may look like when you enable export to excel, delete and edit options.
Very often you may allow your users to come back and update their submitted records. For example, when your user submitted a CV, but then his address was updated. He needs some way to come back and update submission. This is when Allow End User Edits will be handy.
1) Go to Customize & Integrate menu.
2) Open Form tab.
3) In Emails menu select Allow end user edits item. Please notice to activate this feature which you need to have an email field on your web form.
Remember, that your form should ask for your users' email. Only if this is true you can get all benefits from this feature. As you have most probably understood this is for emailing the link to user's submission.
A user will receive an email and will need to save it for the future use.
And finally a user will be able to update his details.
If you are working on your project with a team you will be very interested in the following feature. This is the way to be informed about changes in your database. Once a user updates any entry you will get an email with the previous and current value of the fields.
Here is how you can enable it in the form widget. Make sure to update email recipients' list. You can enter as many emails as you need, separated by comma.
And here is how updated records email notifications look like in action:

As you may already notice there are several new methods implemented. Sum (or Total) and Average. This is the way for you to get Total of all column values, or an average value for it.
