In this blog post you can find detailed instructions of how to create a database view in MyTaskHelper online database.
- Read our blog post about views integration here.
- New feature: reordering views, read here.
We need to find some records, save result in the separate View. You can export to Excel all database records or use Search, Filtering, Grouping functions and export only the found records. It's very easy. See the screenshots below.
Create database Views for the results of:
For example we have UEFA Country Ranking online database.
The first step: open our test database (UEFA Country Ranking). There are 53 records and go to the Records menu.
We need to find and save all the countries whose ranking is greater than 30 in a separate table.
How to save search results: After the search click on button "Save result" to create a new widget (view) with the found records. Widget's name is automatically set.
The drop-down list will appear with a widget's name. You can select a widget or delete it. Also you always can add a new record to the new widget or edit / delete the existing record.
To export new database widget records you only need to click on button "Export to Excel". See the screenshots below.
All your found records are in the excel file.
How to save results after filtering: you must do the same steps. Click on green button "Save result" and you records will be saved in the new widget.
Select a needed widget from the widget's list to continue working or delete it.
After filtering all the found records can be exported to an Excel file. You only need to click twice with your mouse.
After using the grouping function you can save a widget and work with the records.
To find / save records in MyTaskHelper is so easy. Please, see a video tutorial below.
It's very useful if you need to sort and show the created views by date, for example.
We have a database "UEFA Country Ranking 2011" and several views in a list. We need to reorder these views.

Find (see the screenshot below) and click on the icon to reorder the views you have created.
Using drag & drop interface you can reorder the views you need.
As a result we have changed the views list.
